About the event
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to hand bind a versatile book using an Australian piano hinge. Don’t let the fancy name intimidate you: it’s a very approachable binding style.
This is an introduction to the basics of book arts, where you will learn to source your own cover and endpaper materials from Indigo Hippo, and then prepare and assemble your own book.
No experience required.
Please note: you will purchase some materials (~$5) from Indigo Hippo during the workshop. This is not included in the cost of the workshop and is intentional: the process of selecting materials is a key aspect of book arts!
